We have worked on many successful projects with Coldshower Design, a design, web development, and hosting company in Austin, Texas. Prelude’s history with Coldshower goes back several years, and includes two tricky hosting migrations. We’ve built Joomla, Wordpress, OpenX, and custom sites, and keep them humming along by handling challenging support and maintenance issues.

Through Coldshower, we’ve helped Igloo Coolers survive and thrive, even as their content management system became unsupported by the original developers. Like most well known retail companies, Igloo has a substantial product catalog. We helped them work out a process to update several different websites from the same product catalog, including web and press-ready images, completely flexible product attributes, and a complex category structure.
Texas Highways / TexasHighways.com
Texas Highways provides a great service to those traveling in our wonderful (and immense!) state. Through Coldshower, we’ve helped them rebuild their web presence on the Joomla open source content management system, migrating nearly 10,000 articles and content pieces, along with a giftshop, blog, events calendar, and business directory. The database driving Texas Highways is quite complex, with more than 220 interlocking tables, all working on concert to help them meet their mission. Thanks to this platform, Texas Highways has been innovative, becoming one of the first government publications to start blogging and reaching out to the public via social media outlets like Twitter.
Texas Apartment Association / TAA.org
We’ve worked with the Texas Apartment Association for several years, and are currently involved in Coldshower’s significant project to migrate them to the Joomla content management system. Like Texas Highways, TAA has a lot going on in their site, and Prelude is making sure the migration goes smoothly. Think of it as rebuilding your house while living in it!
